Welcome to Version 7.0 of The Case Manager [TM], reflecting four years of requests for updates from Registered users in the U.S.A., Canada, England, New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa. Now, with simplified menus and shortened tutorials, The Case Manager [TM] will appeal to you, the first time user, as well.
Each selection on any menu is highlighted with a light bar. As you scroll up or down the light bar, explanatory text appears on the bottom line of the screen, explaining the highlighted option. Each light bar selection has different explanatory text.
The documentation is simplified as well. Before, the program would ask you to print 200 pages of documentation. Now the tutorial consists of just 60 printed pages. Because of the simplified menus and reduced documentation, The Case Manager [TM] has a more intuitive feel and a shorter learning curve.
The Case Manager helps to organize your legal practice. It handles billing, prints professional looking monthly billing statements, manages client information, organizes staff schedules, and organizes legal papers. This version offers mouse support and is network ready.
This self-contained, fully functional evaluation master is for those America Online downloaders who wish to evaluate the program for the first time. Once downloaded, this program will allow you to enter an unlimited number of records during your evaluation period. This version is LAN-ready and mouse aware. Registered users get a printed manual, a national zip code lookup file, and unlimited tech support. This version offers an easy upgrade path to client-server or peer-to-peer multiuser versions.
Note: After downloading, type LEGAL-X7 to extract files. Files will be extracted to \LAWYER.ACS on the current drive (do not try to extract from/to floppy, it won't fit!). This path information is contained in the archive so you can't extract to another location. Type GO to run the install routine and then GO again to run the program once install is finished. Requires FILES=50, BUFFERS=15 in your CONFIG.SYS file.
